The '90s trend is currently taking over. Scrunchies, chokers, platforms and even jelly sandals are the new 'normal' for street style today. Oversized denim jackets are incredibly popular with celebrity figures such as Gigi Hadid and Rihanna - and who doesn't love denim, right?!
Fashionistas from across Northern Ireland flocked to east Belfast store PEEL this week for their Denimtastic event... Featuring brands such as Citizens of Humanity, AG Jeans, 360cashmere, Skull Cashmere and Essentiel Antwerp amongst many others, the mini fashion showcase highlighted the very best way to wear denim this season – a key trend for SS16.
Have a look at some of my favourite and a few of the eye-catching looks that took to the catwalk last Thrusday;
- DO - play around with different colours of denim. It's not all gloom and blue! Denim can come in pink, black, white and many other colours.
- DON'T - accessories with denim. Denim hats and shoes are just too much. It looks tacky and cheap.
- DO - stack up on denim jackets. You can never go wrong with them and they go with almost everything. From girly, floral dresses to skinny jeans and crop tops.
- DON'T - ever pull off a Britney and Justin at the AMAs. If you don't know what I'm talking about, google it.
Ok, so if you're still lost and confused and don't know how to dress in denim, why not take some inspiration from a few of the fashionistas that attended this denimtastic event!

Ooh, so many gorgeous styling options in this post! The unusual material of the blazers/coats have undoubtedly caught my eye, and I particularly love the patterned skirt featured about halfway through the post!
