November Favourites

Saturday, November 14, 2015

Happy Saturday, everybody! Is it just me or is anybody else exhausted recently? The cold, miserable weather and dark nights have me swapping Saturday nights out in Belfast for a night in beside the fire watching Netflix.

I have had such a busy few weeks, that I've completely missed the opportunity to share an 'October Favourites' post with you, so here is a late October/early November favourites post!

My Business Cards! - This is my favourite purchase this month, without a doubt. I'm always finding myself at events having to scribble my contact information on a spare piece of paper - how unprofessional! Others are simply handing their business cards out left, right and centre. So here are mine! I love the navy and pink colour scheme and the 'HELLO' is rather eye-catching, don't you think?

'Simple' Skin Care - I've tried every skin care product available, but not Simple. I've read such positive reviews on this high-street range, so I made sure to purchase it as soon as my Nivea products had finished. Simple contains no harsh chemicals and is perfect for sensitive skin. They have a number of ranges to suit each skin type, so there is something for everyone. Not to mention, it's cheap, too!

Nivea Q10 Plus Anti-Wrinkle - This is my number one go-to product. I use it every single day and it really leaves my skin feeling smooth and fresh. The product contains serum pearls, and the texture is quite strange at first. I use this every night after my normal skin care routine, but make sure you put it on before your moisturiser!

L'Oreal Hot & Go - If you have long, thick hair like myself, then this product will save you so much time when drying your hair! On average, it takes me almost half-an-hour to dry my hair, but with this product it takes roughly less than 20 minutes. After brushing my wet hair, I spray this product all over and leave it to set for 5 minutes. Not only does it dry my hair quicker, but it leaves a really waxy texture that gives my hair great volume.

Jolen Creme Bleach - When I bleached my hair, I realised my eyebrows were going to look extremely dark against my white locks. I had been searching for this bleach forever, and finally found it in a large 'Boots' in the city. I've tried bleaching my brows before with regular hair bleach, but no luck, so I was a little shocked at how well this product worked. Easy to use, cheap and does exactly what it says on the box.

Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Eraser Eye - Although it works wonders for dark circles, I use this product for contouring/highlighting. The sponge makes it simple and quick to apply and it's super inexpensive! This product has been really popular thanks to beauty vloggers, so it may be difficult to find. The only con I have with this product is the lack of shades - it only comes in light, medium and dark!

Holly Madison's 'Down the Rabbit Hole' - I've always had a major girl crush on Holly Madison and I used to spend hours upon hours watching 'Girls of the Playboy Mansion.' When I heard she was releasing a 'tell-all,' I got a little too excited. What seemed like a fairytale lifestyle turned out to be a hellish nightmare for any young woman. I have such a different perception on the world of Playboy after reading this, and the world of celebrity culture as a whole.

So there you have it, my November favourites! Do you have any monthly favourites, or perhaps a product that is perfect for the harsh Autumn/Winter months? Let me know in the comment section below!
