On November 4th 2015, over 2,400 guests arrived at the SSE Arena to watch 'A Christmas Star.' Cast, crew and VIP guests walked the red carpet and enjoyed the pre-show entertainment. It was nice to see the crew out of their waterproofs and in their best attire! I opted for a black gown with glitter star print (sticking with the theme!) that I purchased from ASOS and paired it with suede lace-up heels I ordered for Public Desire.
Before the feature began, we had a sneak-peek at the behind the scenes documentary. It was a mix of emotions watching the trainees hard at work, including myself! It included some hilarious moments from set, interviews from cast and crew and backstage footage. It really was a reminder at just how far we have each come and it's a little crazy to think what we have achieved and how each of us has grown within a year.
Watching a film you've worked on and know inside out is such a different experience from watching a movie in which you haven't. Each scene brings back such memories from between takes and as a costume trainee, I always had my eye on each character's costumes! If I were to describe the film in one word, it would easily be 'magical.' It is an uplifting experience and really has that 'Christmas-y' feel to it. The young cast did such a fantastic job, I really cannot applaud them enough. A big and exciting future for each of them! It was very emotional watching and knowing I was a part of the making of this project, and I know I am certainly not the only person that feels this way!

Seeing my name on the credits was such a surreal feeling. It was so rewarding and I can only hope it was the first of many. Cinemagic have believed in me from the age of 15, and without them I would not be where I am today. No matter where I am in 10 or 15 years, I will always thank them for giving me the opportunities they have! Joan Burney-Keatings and Shauna Shivers are two very inspiring women! I owe them both a lot.
Directed my Richard Elson, 'A Christmas Star' follows the story of Noelle, a young girl who believes she has the gift to perform miracles, so when convincing developer McKerrod (Collier) threatens her peaceful life she and her friends determine to use this gift to thwart his plans and save their village.
Credits include; Liam Neeson, Rob James Collier, Pierce Brosnan, Suranne Jones, Bronagh Waugh, Kylie Minogue and stars Erin Galway-Kendrick.
How exciting for you! My son is studying special effects and want to work on Hollywood films on day.
